Toshiba Adds Five Satellite Pro Models

IRVINE, CALIF. — Toshiba's digital products division has added five new models to its Satellite Pro line of laptops targeted at professionals and students.
The Satellite Pro line, which now features nine different configurations, offers models with displays measuring 13.3 inches, 14.1 inches, 15.4 inches and 17 inches. Depending on the model, the laptops can either be equipped with Intel Centrino processor technology with Core 2 Duo processors, or AMD dual-core processors.
Some models also feature an integrated 1.3-megapixel Web cam. Select models feature configurations with either Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Home Basic operating systems.
According to the company, all five of the new models include a DVD Super Multi drive; TruBrite widescreen display; and a variety of connectivity options including wireless LAN, Ethernet, modem and ExpressCard slot. The company's ConfigFree technology is said to help users connect to popular wired and wireless networks. The laptops also feature embedded support for Computrac for optional protection designed to help in theft recovery and protecting data on missing notebooks.
The new Satellite Pro models include L300, L300D, M300, U400 and L350 with prices ranging from $699 through $1,049.
All Satellite Pro series laptops are available with a one-year standard, limited warranty.
