Magnadyne Bows Hands-Free Stereo Earphones Line

By John Laposky -- TWICE, 4/7/2008

Magnadyne brought to CTIA 2008 last week a new line of high-fidelity hands-free stereo earphones for wireless phones and PDAs with integrated MP3 players.

The ear bud-style earphones are designed to work both as a hands-free device and as a set of stereo ear buds for use with iPods or other music players for improved audio fidelity, the company said.

The line includes the stereo "reverse sound" EB-ST25-RST, a set of ear buds that reverses the direction of the speaker driver to improve fidelity and allow a user to hear more of their nearby environment. The EB-ST25-RST has a suggested retail of $29.95.

The EB-ST25-INN high-fidelity foam-covered ear buds boast superior bass, soundstage and definition and offer a comfortable fit when used for music, according to Magnadyne. It also has a suggested retail of $29.95.

Both the EB-ST25-RST and EB-ST25-INN come with a 3.5mm adapter that permits the products to work on any iPod, MP3 player, computer and most airplane entertainment systems. The adapter permits a consumer to use a single headphone product for multiple devices.

Also new for Magnadyne is the EB-STA-MTMLMCU, a hands-free adapter designed for use with newer Micro-USB port equipped wireless phones. The adapter permits the use of a standard 2.5mm wired headphones. It includes a built-in high-quality integrated amplifier and is compatible with mono or stereo sound. The EB-STA-MTMLMCU has a suggested retail of $15.95.

All new models are available.

The new ear buds are packaged for Magnadyne-branded retail distribution and also available to OEM and private-label clients for branding and packaging.
