NuVision To Show New HD LCD-TV Models

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 9/5/2005

NuVision will announce at CEDIA that it is now shipping extensions to its LCD-TV line, including models in the 23W-inch, 26W-inch, 32W-inch and 37W-inch screen sizes.

The new flat-panel TV models all feature the company's Deep Black technology and are aimed at consumers looking for high performance, strong customer service and sleek cosmetics.

NuVision's distribution strategy targets the CEDIA custom-install channel and high-end A/V specialty retailers “who demand as much performance from the manufacturer as they do from the product,” NuVision said.

The NuVision brand and products are promoted and sold nationwide through the EDGE Distributor Group.

NuVision LCD displays incorporate proprietary NiDO (NuVision Intelligent Digital Optimization), exclusive Deep Black LCD with 1000:1 contrast ratio, and NuControl bi-directional RS232 with polling.

NuVisions NiDO circuit is said to deliver a film-like home theater experience virtually free of artifacts.

The new models feature a 10ms response time, 500cd/M2 brightness, 16:9 widescreen aspect ratios, 1,366 by 768 resolution, DVI with HDCP input and discrete IR control with IR direct input jack.

Models include the 23W-inch NVX23HDU ($1,350 suggested retail), the 26W-inch NVX26HDU ($1,799), the 32W-inch NVX32HDU ($2,699) and the 37W-inch NVX37HDU ($3,799).

NuVision is a division of Audio Video Specialists Inc. — an engineering and product development firm that develops high performance products for the NuVision, U-Wire and NuPower brands.
