DH Labs Introduces AC Power Cord
Jupiter, Fla. — DH Labs is introducing the Power Plus Reference Series AC power cord, said to dramatically improve any home theater system's performance. The handcrafted copper device features noise-canceling technology. The Power Plus, which offers a high-quality alternative to "throw-away" power cords, will fit any component that will accept a standard IEC cord. The unit features two 12-gauge conductors and a 12-gauge ground and is wrapped in an attractive, custom installation that reduces coloration and improves overall transparency. Suggested retail is $200 for over 6 feet of cord.
New Product Protects CDs From Scratches
Chicago — A product called d_skin — said to protect discs from getting scratched, without affecting sound or image quality — is available from d_skin llc. Designed to protect compact discs used in music, video games and data storage, d_skin acts like a "protective skin" that snaps onto a disc. The company says its product has been precision engineered so it stays on the disc even while it is playing, and the disc reads right through the protective skin. The product combines a patented lip-lock seal, polycarbonate film and impulse welded outer ring technology to do the job. Initial marketing efforts will focus on distribution to major music and computer retailers and mass merchants. Suggested retail is 99 cents each and the product will be sold in a 5-pack.
