By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 11/6/2006

Internet video-on-demand service Akimbo ( www.akimbo.com) said it has reached an agreement through its relationship with Movielink to carry movies from top motion picture studios including MGM, Paramount, Universal and Warner Bros.

The new titles will be delivered to Akimbo subscribers' homes through the RCA Akimbo Player set-top box, via the Movielink IP movie download service.

Movielink said it has programmed its video-on-demand (VOD) service specifically for the Akimbo player, highlighting a variety of popular movies currently available for VOD.

Movies in every genre are available to Akimbo users for rental prices ranging from 99 cents to $4.99.
