Samsung Inks Deal To Use Font Fusion

Samsung Electronics Co. announced it will integrate Bitstream Inc.'s Font Fusion rasterizing engine technology into its entire, worldwide product line of high-end entertainment devices and handheld and wireless devices.

The companies said they have a long-term, global agreement to put Font Fusion in all products that can benefit form interactive and multimedia solutions.

Font Fusion allows Samsung "to render high-quality text in browsers, electronic programming guides, and other interactive software, as well as on such hardware devices as digital televisions and PDAs," according to Bitstream.

Samsung plans to incorporate Font Fusion in high-definition televisions, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and other handheld and wireless devices.
