ICE Buying Group To Promote HD Radio

Swedesboro, N.J. — Car stereo buying group In Car Experts (ICE) entered a partnership with HD Radio developer iBiquity to help promote HD Radio on the sales floor.

ICE vendor relations director David Schwartz said the group’s goal is to increase HD Radio product sales from Kenwood, Pioneer and Peripheral, and other ICE partners, by educating sales people about the feature.

“ICE has found that independent retailers are not including the HD Radio feature on the sales floor when offering products which have HD Radio capability. The issue is that salespeople do not have experience with or knowledge of HD Radio … Working together, iBiquity and ICE will increase the knowledge and awareness of HD Radio on the sales floor, ultimately translating to increased HD Radio hardware sales.”
