HEATHROW, FLA. — Dual announced it will launch an OEM division that will sell "original-fit" car A/V equipment to car dealerships, expeditors and automotive import companies in the United States.
The company will show 11 new products to be sold through the new OEM Group.
The OEM Group will also work with Longwood, Fla.-based Priority Audio to market and develop Dual OEM products. Priority Audio is a 1-year-old company launched by former Audiovox and Recoton managers that sells both aftermarket and expediter car audio products.
The first 11 Dual OEM products will be designed to work with more than 24 million vehicles, including 2006 to 2008 models from Toyota, Ford, General Motors, Chrysler and Volkswagen.
More details will be announced at the end of this year, said Dual, which currently sells aftermarket car audio products and is ranked the No. 2 leading supplier of in-dash car A/V systems, it said.
