TiVo's President Yudkovitz Resigns

ALVISO, CALIF. — TiVo continues to see changes to its upper-level management team, this time with the resignation of president Marty Yudkovitz.
A former NBC executive who helped develop the MSNBC and CNBC channels, Yudkovitz said he was stepping down as TiVo's president for personal reasons. He will stay on as a consultant for an undisclosed period of time. No replacement has been named.
Yudkovitz's resignation follows by a few weeks the announcement that TiVo's founding chairman Michael Ramsay would drop his role as TiVo's CEO after a replacement is found.
After launching in 1999, TiVo helped pioneer the DVR category with aggressive marketing campaigns that helped link the TiVo name to the DVR concept in the minds of many consumers. Despite that triumph, the company has only managed to enlist about 3 million subscribers.
Meanwhile, TiVo has been challenged by similar products offered through cable and satellite services.
