Visteon Shows HD Radio With Traffic Information
LAS VEGAS — Visteon showed a working sample of an OEM HD radio with double DIN screen that can display maps with traffic accident reports that are broadcast over HD radio. Visteon said the first of these units will be available in 2005 through at least one car manufacturer.

Clarion Signs on Tweeter
LAS VEGAS — Clarion announced it signed on the 150-store Tweeter chain to carry its full ProAudio car stereo line, including amplifiers and speakers. The company is also releasing here a new line of Ungo Pro Security products produced by Directed Electronics.

Cerwin Vega Bows Superwoofers
LAS VEGAS — Cerwin Vega debuted here a new Stroker Pro series subwoofers with a 4,500 watt power capacity. The series has a field replacement program in case of a blown up woofer cone. Suggested retail prices for the 12 and 15-inch models are $799 and $899, respectively.
