ADI Partners With Warrantech

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 5/25/2006

Melville, N.Y. — ADI has begun offering Warrantech’s RepairMaster service contracts under a new partnership with the Bedford, Texas-based extended service contract provider.

ADI, a distributor of security and low-voltage products based here, will initially distribute RepairMaster contracts on plasma TVs, and will extend the offer to encompass complete home theater systems later this spring. The company plans to offer Warrantech's extended-service coverage for its security solutions product line next year.

“We are pleased to add RepairMaster coverage on ADI’s plasmas line,” said R.J. Hirshkind, product manager of ADI’s residential and commercial A/V division. “Given the number of product lines that will benefit from service contract coverage, we plan to move quickly to extend this benefit to all of our customers.”

“Clearly this is a strategic win for both parties,” said Everett Cole, sales VP for Warrantech Consumer Products. “ADI can increase their margin and provide customers with another opportunity to win business, and Warrantech gets a new business partner.”

ADI distributes more than 80,000 products from over 400 manufacturers spanning such categories as intrusion, fire, closed-circuit TV, access control, home automation and structured cabling.
