JVC Company of America has merged its Recording Media and New Products Special Markets division, called the Recording Media/New Products Special Markets division. Al Levene, formerly VP of the New Products Special Markets division, has been named VP and will head the new division. Gary DeFeo, ex-GM Recording Media has been named GM of the Mobile Electronics division, and Richard Mirrer has been named supervisor of Corporate Strategy Department, while continuing as supervisor of product marketing for the Consumer Audio division. Rob Payesko, former JVC Retail Merchandising Department general manager, named GoVideo sales and channel marketing director. Jeff Marks replaces him, and will report primarily from the Aurora, Ill. office…Mark Donnelly, former Samsung Digital Information Technology (SDIT) Division sales VP, was named BenQ America sales VP. Gregg Prendergast, SDIT Division commercial sales channel senior VP takes over Donnelly's system integrator and BTA responsibilities, while Sam Akkapeddi, SDIT Division retail sales director, will now report directly to T.H. Kim, SDIT Division president.
