Dual To Ship Its First Video Line

HEATHROW, FLA. — Dual Electronics formally announced its first Dual-branded line of advanced video products since the brand's acquisition by Namsung America will ship to dealers this fall.
A Dual spokesman said the first wave of models will be announced in detail next month. The company said it will carry "multiple SKUs" of LCD flat-panel televisions, pure flat televisions, TV/DVD combos and DVD-R recorders.
All of the products are being manufactured for the line under a long-term agreement with Skyworth Group, which Namsung called "one of the three largest suppliers of video products in China."
Skyworth made a modest investment in Namsung to support marketing efforts for the new TV and DVD products as part of the long-term exclusive agreement between the two companies.
"When we first announced the re-introduction of the Dual brand in April, we said that we planned to market the full gamut of home entertainment products," said Jim Braun, Namsung America CEO. "Today, we are fulfilling this commitment by bringing an extensive selection of premium consumer television monitors and related goods to North America."
Under the terms of the agreement, the combined organization will open a distribution center on the West Coast called Skyworth Dual Logistics (SDL), and will begin shipping products this fall.
