Acer Debuts Desktop, Display

The powerful processor and graphics combination on our [small form factor] desktops and Predator gaming PCs infuse games, movies and photos with rich, lifelike images.”
The new desktop model, the X1700 “small form factor” PC, runs on an Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor and offers 4GB DDR2 memory. The tower measures 10.4 inches by 4 inches by 14.4 inches; it features a front-mounted “multi-in-one” card reader, and nine USB ports. The device features a 640GB SATA II hard drive, and a SuperMulti Drive with Labelflash technology. It offers Integrated Nvidia GeForce graphics and HDMI compatibility.
The Acer H233H display offers a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 1,920 by 1,080 resolution and a 40,000:1 contrast ratio with 5ms response time. Its cosmetic features include a glossy black bezel and touch-sensing, LED-illuminated setting controls. The display offers 160-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles and supports VGA, HDMI and DVI. The display also comes with two speakers.
Pricing for the Aspire X1700 starts above $400 and the display carries a suggested price of $229.
