HD Camcorder In Flip Line Set By Pure Digital

SAN FRANCISCO — Pure Digital said it would ship an HD version of its Flip Mino camcorder to dealers this month.

The Flip Mino HD, for $229, weighs in at 3 ounces. It can record up to 60 minutes of 720p video to its 4GB worth of internal memory. It features a 1.5-inch LCD, 2x digital zoom and touch-sensitive control buttons.

The company will also debut new on-board software, dubbed FlipShare, in the HD camcorder for drag-and-drop video organizing, editing, video emailing and online uploading to sites such as YouTube, MySpace and AOL Video.

The new software is Windows and Mac compatible and will be rolled out in all new Flip camcorders going forward, the company said.
