Monster Makes Moves On Home, Car Fronts

By Staff -- TWICE, 1/8/2007

Monster is introducing new products at each of its two main booths at International CES. Car gear is located at the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth 2622, while home products can be found at South 1, booth 21402.

The Monster Central Control and IlluminEssence advanced lighting system are the latest entries in the Monster Central Control category. The Monster central lighting kit 1000 includes the AVL 300, a handheld controller, two LD-300 light station dimmers and two IWD-600 in-wall light station dimmers. Additionally, the AVL300 along with IlluminEssence lighting system products make it possible to control lighting throughout the entire house, as well as combining lighting and home theater experiences with a single touch. The package has a suggested retail of $999.

With the IlluminEssence keyless entry and lighting controller, users will have the ability to open garage doors and turn on the lights from existing in-car garage door openers or from their pockets. A three-step setup process allows consumers to configure and set up the keyless entry and lighting system. The IlluminEssence keyless entry system, which includes the pocket key fob controller, the plug-in garage link controller, and the plug-in light station controller, retails for $249.99.

Monster Performance Car will launch its new 400 Series battery terminals at CES. Scheduled to ship in the first quarter, the 400 Series battery terminals include a PowerQuip connection and a digital voltage power meter. A unique feature of the 400 Series is the LED voltage meter, which allows consumers to monitor the performance of their vehicle's electrical system without the need for tools or complicated equipment, the firm said.

Prices range from $79.95 for a four-way positive battery terminal with voltmeter, to $49.95 for a three-way negative battery terminal. Monster Performance Car will also introduce its new high-current QuickSet magnetic circuit breaker at CES. Scheduled to ship in the first quarter, Monster's new circuit breaker protection requires no fuses. Prices range from $149 for 200-amp capacity to $69.95 for 100 amps.
