Brand Source Partners With Service Association

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 8/9/2007

Anaheim, Calif. — Brand Source Service (BSS), the nine-month-old service division of the $11 billion home furnishings buying group, is partnering with Marcone Servicers Association (MSA) for a joint convention and training tour this fall.

The convention, BSS’s first, will be held Sept. 22-26 at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, in conjunction with MSA’s own annual event. The convention will include special presentations, business management training and technical instruction, and Brand Source Service members will receive a discounted rate.

BSS is also teaming up with MSA for a 15-city technical training tour that will focus on Brand Source’s core Bosch, Electrolux and Samsung CE and majap brands, along with its Gourmet Professional Series private-label line of kitchen appliances. The tour will begin in early September and run through 2008, with cities, dates and locations to be announced shortly. Admission will be free to group members and will be refunded to non-members upon joining Brand Source.

Brand Source created BSS last November to support group members who perform their own repairs on major appliance and consumer electronics products, and to provide manufacturers with an alternative to existing national service organizations. BSS said its aim is to bring profitability to the independent servicing dealer through training, education and a national service network.
