Obituary: Philip Gerson, 35

Staff -- TWICE, 1/29/2001

GREENWICH, CONN. -Philip B. Gerson, 35, son of TWICE founding editor Bob Gerson and the late Sandra Gerson, died of cancer, Jan. 22 at Greenwich Hospital.

A trade journalist in his own right, during school vacation Gerson's articles appeared in TWICE and Consumer Electronics monthly, and for a period of time he had a regular feature column on distributors for Autosound & Communications. While still in high school he wrote video game reviews for Fun With Computers & Games, a monthly consumer publication.

Gerson graduated with honors from Colgate University and the Boston University School of Law. A practicing attorney, he was an associate with the New York City firm of Rosenman & Colin.

Survivors include his wife, Beth, his son and daughter, Timothy and Laura, all of Stamford, Conn., and his father.
