Visioneer Flatbed Scanner Targets Photo Buffs

Pleasanton, Calif. — Visioneer has unveiled the OneTouch 8920 USB color flatbed scanner, the company's first consumer scanner targeted at photo enthusiasts. It has a suggested retail price of $149.99. The scanner features an optical resolution of 1200 x 4800 dpi, 48-bit color, FlashBack bi-directional AutoScan technology, and a 35mm transparency adapter. The software bundled with the scanner is valued at more than $100 and includes ScanSoft's PaperPort Deluxe 7.0, ScanSoft's TextBridge Pro 9.0 and Adobe Photoshop Elements.
