ReplayTV Relaunches DVR HW Line

SonicBlue's new ReplayTV unit will launch a new line of home-networkable digital video recorders (DVRs) at this week's CEDIA Expo.

The products use broadband connectivity (cable or DSL) to share video files between ReplayTV 4000 recorders located either in or outside the home. Expanded hard drives enable the storage of up to 320 hours in the top-end model. They will also store digital photos and home movies.

Models include: ReplayTV 4040 ($699) with up to 40 hours of storage; ReplayTV 4080 ($999) with up to 80 hours; ReplayTV 4160 ($1,499) with up to 160 hours and ReplayTV 4320 ($1,999) with up to 320 hours. Lifetime service fees are included in the purchase price.
