Aquatic AV Bows Remotes For Harsh Environments

San Jose, Calif. — Aquatic AV, a manufacturer of multi-environment audio systems and media control centers, introduced in May a line of wired and wireless remotes designed to perform in harsh environments.
The weather-resistant remotes (AQ-WR-102F, AQ-WR-102FD) are rated IP66, which means they can withstand both dust and water intrusion at high levels, and they are completely submersible and can float, according to the company. They are engineered to work with both the CD and DVD media control centers and offer back-lit control surfaces.
The wired remotes are designed for simultaneous use of up to four-remotes per media control center and are connected by a single 12-volt watertight power and data connectors. They feature the company's 12-volt extension button for use for any 12-volt accessory. Both the AQ-WR-102F and AQ-WR-102FD are currently available and retail for $199.
The wireless IR remote (AQ-IRRD, AQ-IRR), also rated IP66, are engineered to communicate with the company's media control centers and/or its wired remotes. The bright yellow design is meant to allow easy identification and retrieval when used in low-light or marine environments, and featuring a stainless-steel key connector and the ability to float, they also offer the company's extra 12-volt extension button for other 12-volt marine accessories. They are currently available nationwide and retail for $69.
Finally, Aquatic AV will distribute its new wireless RF remotes that are engineered to offer up to 200 feet of wireless range. These two cream-colored remotes (AQ-RFR-1, AQ-RFRD-1) feature the company's 12-volt extension button and are designed to connect to any of its media control centers and wired remotes.
