Samsung Taps Regis, Joy Philbin To Host Its Annual 'Hope' Dinner

Staff -- TWICE, 6/7/2004

TV host Regis Philbin and his wife Joy will be hosting the Third Annual Sounds of Samsung's Four Seasons of Hope event tonight at Cipriani, here.

The Philbins will be joined at the star-studded event by Magic Johnson, Joe Torre, Boomer Esiason and Jon Bon Jovi, who have partnered with Samsung's Four Seasons of Hope to raise funds to benefit children and families in need. The event will honor the year-round charitable efforts of these American Legends.

Samsung's Four Seasons of Hope is a national goodwill retail program that brings together these five celebrities and their charities.

The Samsung's Four Seasons of Hope Charities include:

The Magic Johnson Foundation, which was founded by the basketball great following his retirement from the NBA in 1991. The foundation aims to improve the lives of inner-city children.

The Joe Torre Safe At Home Family Foundation was created in 2002 to support women and children exposed to domestic violence.

The Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women, located in Orlando, Fla., is said to be the only hospital in the southeast — and one of only six in the nation — dedicated to serving the unique needs of children and women.

The Boomer Esiason Foundation to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis was created by the former quarterback and current NFL broadcaster. Created by Esiason and his wife in 1993 after their son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, the foundation works to raise money to find a cure for the genetic disease. To date, more than $12 million has been raised for the cause.

And the Jon Bon Jovi's charities of Philadelphia include: The Philadelphia Children's Alliance (PCA), the Northern Home for Children, Corporate Alliance for Drug Education (CADE) and Philabundance. For more information visit www.fourseasonsofhope.com.
