Sony Issues Digital Camera Recall
By Greg Scoblete -- TWICE, 8/2/2007
San Diego - Sony announced a worldwide recall on the Cyber-shot T5 today.
According to the company, a metal plating on the bottom of the camera can warp “causing [a] slight cut or scratch on the skin of the user” when touched.
Sony is offering to replace the casing for free.
The T5 was introduced in 2005. It is not the first digital camera recall for Sony. Previous models were recalled due to faulty batteries and the epoxy that keeps the CCD sensor in place.
