Bob Perry Leaves LG

By Steve Smith -- TWICE, 11/6/2006

Bob Perry, sales VP for consumer electronics at LG Electronics, has left the company to "pursue other interests," the company reported Wednesday.

The announcement was made during the press conference on LG's new products at its annual dealer meeting here. The news was a surprise as TWICE staffers at the show had heard Perry was at the hotel and he had told others he would talk with the media at the event.

No replacement for Perry was named. On Thursday Perry called TWICE to say he "resigned abruptly just before the line show when I became aware of some internal activities that made me uncomfortable. I tried to resolve them, but couldn't and I resigned immediately."

LG did not elaborate on the news at this time.

Perry joined LG in December 2003 as sales VP after a six-year stint with Mitsubishi, where he was marketing VP and later government and industry affairs VP.
