Panamax Debuts Home Office Surge Protectors

Staff -- TWICE, 11/5/2001

The latest computer protection devices from Panamax include three new products for home offices or small businesses. Called the mid-sized towerMAX 4 Surge Protector Series, units include towerMAX 4 KSU designed for small key systems, towerMAX 4 TEL for computers with modems and towerMAX 4 LAN for networked computers.

These products include the company's SurgeGate Plus Circuitry that detects unsafe overvoltage and undervoltage surges, four transformer-spaced outlets, Protect or Disconnect Circuitry to save connected equipment from catastrophic surges and SignalPerfect Circuitry, which optimizes telephone line signals.

The series features the same AC surge protection, overvoltage plus undervoltage protection and optimized telephone signal line protection as the company's MAX 8 Series in a four-outlet version.

The towerMAX 4 Series is expandable using either towerMAX modules or AllPath modules for a customized protection system. Products come with a $5 million Connected Equipment Protection Policy.

Suggested retails are $49.95 for the 4 KSU and $54.95 for both the 4 TEL and 4 LAN.

"Panamax now offers a complete range of surge protection for computers," said John Maloney, VP of sales and marketing. "We have addressed the variables, depending on the logistics of the computer or network and more sophisticated configurations, with an expanded system of AC and Telephone signal power protection products to offer a user a complete protection package."
