CEA Offers MECP Internet Testing

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 10/24/2005

CEA announced its Mobile Electronics Certified Professionals (MECP) program, will offer Internet based testing for the master installer certification.

The Internet-based tests can be taken at a mobile electronics school or retailer. Also, an individual can locate a library or other MECP-recognized proctor and arrange a test session. The Internet-based testing eliminates the need to travel to a test center, said CEA.

The master installer certification is the highest level of achievement in the MECP program. “MECP certification offers the greatest opportunity for bolstering customer confidence and upholding recommended installation practices that ensure complete customer satisfaction,” said Todd Thibodeaux, CEA's industry relations VP.
