By Staff -- TWICE, 10/13/2003

Ray Lepper, president of Home Media Stores, a Virginia-based home systems integration company, has been named the 2003-04 president of the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA).

Lepper replaces Jeff Hoover, who now will serve on the CEDIA executive committee, along with CEDIA VP Andy Willcox, Pro Line Integrated Systems of Highland Park, Ill.; Marilyn Sanford, treasurer of La Scala, Vancouver, B.C.; and Larry Dashiell, secretary of Hometech, Santa Rosa, Calif.

Lepper, a 25-year veteran of the consumer electronics industry, has been an active volunteer for CEDIA since returning to the United States in 1998 from four years in the United Kingdom, where he headed up KEF Audio, the well-known British loudspeaker company. For the past three years, Lepper has served on CEDIA's executive committee, first as secretary then as VP.

CEDIA's 2003-04 board members include Jill Kent of Audio Video Systems, Mineola, N.Y.; Bill Skaer, Eric Grundelman Inc., Mesquite, Texas; Michael Heiss of M. Heiss Consulting, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; Jeff Kussard of Russound, Newmarket, N.J.; Richard Stoerger of Audio Design Associates, White Plains, N.Y.; Mitchell Klein, Media Systems, Boston; Scott McAllister of MediaWorks, Fair Oaks, Calif.; and Ken Smith of Custom Electronics, Falmouth, Maine.

"Our executive committee and board members dedicate enormous time and energy to making CEDIA the best resource for professionals in the custom electronics design and installation industry," said CEDIA executive director Billilynne Keller. "Our leadership team drives and guides CEDIA, and provides the vision, expertise and enthusiasm to raise the industry's bar on education, legislation and professional development."
