Premium Bows France's H&B At CEDIA Expo

Premium Distribution, the New York City-based vendor of the France-based H&B electronics brand, will make its CEDIA Expo debut this week showing an extensive flat-panel TV line, DVD players and high-quality cable accessories.

The company is intensifying its focus on the A/V custom installation market as it reinforces its foothold in the United States. Highlighted products will be high-definition flat-panel LCD and plasma television sets, supporting HDMI with HDCP input as well as component video, DVI and VGA inputs.

All models feature aluminum frames, high-power speakers featuring SRS TruSurround XT sound effect, built-in Pixel Works up conversion circuitry, ATSC/NTSC tuners for analog and digital TV reception, and 3D video noise reduction.

Screen sizes now include 32W inches ($2,499), 37W inches ($2,999) and 40W-inches ($3,999) in LCD TVs and 42W inches ($3,499), 50W inches ($4,999), 55W inches ($5,499) and 63W-inches ($10,899) in plasma. All include built-in ATSC tuning and high-definition resolution.

Other products to be featured at the show include a new line of high quality A/V cables including HDMI to HDMI, DVI to DVI, and HDMI to DVI. It will also offer HDMI to DVI adapters (male and female).

All HDMI cables are V1.0 ATC Compliant, shielded with aluminum foil, PVC and nylon jackets. Connectors are 24K gold plated.

The company will also show its first portable DVD player. Model DX-102 ($349.99 suggested retail), which features a 10.2-inch LCD screen, ultra-thin lap-top design, and compatibility with DiVX and MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video formats; JPEG and PhotoCD still image formats; and MP3 music files. It will also play most recordable DVD and CD disc formats.

Premium Distribution's H&B line is distributed to custom installers and A/V specialty retailers through WYNIT, with warehouses in Albany, N.Y., and Fresno, Calif., and SED International, based in Atlanta.
