Media Decor Rolls Out New Flat-Panel Concealment Lift, Revised Web Site

By John Laposky -- TWICE, 3/10/2008

High-end installation supplier Media Decor has introduced it latest flat-panel concealment product, the Eclipse Art Lift.

The lift works with a user's original art, or can be teamed with custom art, mirrors or panels available through Media Decor, to conceal a wall-mounted flat panel TV when not is use.

The Eclipse can be configured to move up/down/left or right and is also available in a dual synchronized version to move two panels left/right or up/down.

The company calls it the "worlds first silent, precision electronic sliding lift" due to its tested operational noise level of 44dB and precision of movement repeatability to 0.0625 inches — industry firsts according to Media Decor.

The system includes a Silent Lift platform with needle-bearing guides, a Lutron IR remote control and receiver, an integral Lutron QED drive unit, a pair of machined rack/pinion rails and a pair of adjustable mounting crossbars.

Optional featues include custom rail lengths, dual-panel configuration, custom recess mounts to accommodate a drive and TV, CCI-8 contact closure, Q-Mount universal TV wall bracket, onboard sound and architectural wall plates.

It has a lift capacity of 70 pounds.

The Eclipse can be seen at this week's EHX Expo in Orlando, Fla., or on the company's completely revised Web site, www.mediadecor.com. The new site boasts faster navigation, according to the company, and makes available Media Decor's complete catalog of more than 900 art selections, mirrors and "moving art" options.

The online catalog has added search features including the clipping of images and saving of images to disc.

Suggested retail pricing for the Eclipse begins at $5,450.
