MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO — Harmony Innovations is planning to make its Smart State Technology available on Palm OS Personal Digital Assistants (PDA). Previously, this technology only was available on the company's Harmony Remote.
By downloading Harmony's Smart State Technology software from the Internet, users of Palm Powered PDAs will now be able to utilize their PDAs as universal remote controls.
Harmony's power comes from its connection to the Web. It can download TV listings from the Internet, so the remote can act like a mini TV directory.
The suggested retail of $199 includes the remote, a computer interface cable, instruction manual and three AAA batteries.
For owners of Palm Powered PDAs, a free trial version of the Harmony software will be downloadable at www.easyzapper.com.
