Sennheiser Trio Introduced

By Staff -- TWICE, 12/19/2005

Sennheiser is introducing a trio of headphone models at the 2006 International CES next month. The products, called the HD 205, HD 415 and HD 435, are said to “allow all music lovers to take advantage of optimum sound, speech and music into every part of their life.”

The DJ-styled HD 205 is a sealed design with performance and features enhanced for DJ applications and other pro-type users. Their high output power, luxuriously rich bass, excellent passive attenuation and perfect fit guarantee precision sound in even the loudest environment, said Sennheiser.

At a suggested $59.95 retail, the HD 205 headphone weighs 7.3 ounces and comes with a 3.5 mm jack plug, jack adapter and single-sided cable. A protective pouch for transport and storage is included.

The open-back model HD 415 offers “excellent sound” and features an eye-catching design, said the company. The unit, also at $59.95 suggested retail, is fitted with a handy cord winder to allow the cable to be individually adapted. It comes with a jack plug and a jack adapter.

Model HD 435, at a suggested $69.95, comes equipped with volume control, a detachable single-sided cable and a protective pouch.

Both the 415 and 435 offer improved wearing comfort and lightweight construction that ensures they remain comfortable even after the longest listening sessions, said Sennheiser.

The sturdy design of each makes the headphones “perfect companions for a mobile lifestyle,” said Sennheiser. Both utilize an ultra-fast, low-mass dynamic driver that delivers transparent sound, with defined and “superbly” extended smooth bass response.

Also new from Sennheiser are the PMX 100 and PMX 200, both neckband headphones featuring quality and design. The 100 features a carbon-fiber design, while the 200 offers aqua-blue ear cups. Both feature a lightweight, metal-reinforced neckband.

Availability is January for both, with suggested retails at $49.95 for the 100, an Open-Aire dynamic phone, and $59.95 for the 200, which incorporates closed-back ear cups.
