Melville, N.Y. — Nikon will ship its new Nikkor lens to dealers in March.
The AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G is a fixed focal length lens. When used in conjunction with a DX-format camera, it produces a photo angle similar to the field of vision of the human eye, Nikon said. It features the ability to focus on objects as close as 0.98 feet and incorporates eight lens elements in three groups with a nine-blade aperture.
It employs a silent wave motor for auto focusing and will retail for $199.
