Targus Debuts Three MacBook Bags

Anaheim, Calif. — Targus launched three new carrying cases today that are designed for the MacBook, 15-inch MacBook Pro and accessories.
The three new cases are made of ballistic nylon and feature space for such MacBook accessories as a Mighty Mouse, MacSafe power adapter, Apple remote and an iPod.
“We’ve created our new Radius line specifically with MacBook owners in mind,” said Al Giazzon, marketing VP at Targus, in a release. “The bags feature upgraded materials and details like headphone cable management that make carrying the MacBook as much an experience as using one.”
The Radius convertible messenger/backpack (models TSB07701US) is constructed to fit the 15-inch MacBook Pro and features an EVA molded notebook compartment for added protection. The black and olive bag features a zip-down workstation with custom-sized pockets. This case also features a business card holder, key clip, pen loops along with a trolley strap for easy transport on rolling luggage. The case converts from a backpack to a messenger bag and includes a zippered pocket to store the backpack straps when not in use. The padded shoulder straps are “ergonomically designed for carrying comfort,” said Targus, and include an integrated cable management system for an iPod. Measuring 13.3 inches by 4.18 inches by 18.10 inches, the bag is 4.18 pounds and has an estimated street price of $99.99.
The Radius messenger bag (models TSM040US) is designed for the 15-inch MacBook Pro. The messenger, constructed of black and olive weather-resistant material, includes a back pocket to store files and other documents and features locking zipper pulls to secure the notebook compartment. Other features include padded removable shoulder strap and carry handle. The case measures 17.13 inches by 7.09 inches by 12 inches, and it weighs 3.08 pounds with an estimated street price of $89.99.
Finally, the Radius Vertical messenger bag (model TSM043US) is designed for the MacBook. The workstation features customized pockets and a vertical design that is meant for easy carrying and storing. Constructed of black and olive, water-resistant polyester, the bag measures 11.02 inches by 2.17 inches by 14.17 inches. It weighs 2.2 pounds and has an estimated street price of $59.99.
