CES 2009: Jaton Debuts Amp, Loudspeaker

LAS VEGAS — Jaton is unveiling a high-end power amplifier and three-way hi-fi speaker during International CES at Venetian Hotel Suite 30-315.
The Operetta AP2300A amplifier is designed as 300 watts by two channels. It has the same noise deduction circle as the AP2140A/AP5140A. The amp uses much of the design of those products but will provide a much wider range in the higher tone and lower bass than the AP2140A/AP5140A. The AP2300A will retail for less than $5,000, and it will be delivered around April.
The Lyra HD-661DX speaker features a tweeter providing 25 kHz, and a crossover from that is a three-way bi-wire connection. The speaker keeps the sweeten of mid- and high range but at the same time brings users a more complete sound experience for a much higher or lower frequency than previous Jaton versions, the company said.
The HD-661DX will retail for $1600/pair and will be ready to deliver after CES.
