Verbatim Americas, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Kagaku Media, recently added a speaker keyboard.

The TuneBoard speaker keyboard ($70) features dual stereo speakers built into the top edge of the keyboard. The Windows version integrates with Windows Media Player or the default music player, and the Mac version integrates with iTunes for controlling music playback, said the company. Other features include multimedia keys for muting, volume adjustment, play, pause, previous-track and next-track control, and two additional hot keys for switching the enhanced bass on and off and to switch on the backlit luminescence. A built-in mini microphone, headphone and microphone connection are also included.
