Synergy Audio Video Joins HTSA

By Colleen Bohen -- TWICE, 7/16/2007

The Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) buying group has added Synergy Audio Video of Orange, Calif., as its 60th member.

The store, owned by Steve Gorton, a former salesperson for Leigh Adams and Ken Cranes, was started in 1996 when Gorton "figured out the only way I was going to make real money was to provide all of the product as well as the integration."

Gorton said in a release that Synergy is now "one of the top integrators in southern California" and that his company has plans to move to a new 8,500-square-foot facility later in the year.

On his decision to join the $500 million buying group, Gorton said, "Over the years, I've always worked hard to make sure I'm buying right and partnered with the right brands. I believe joining HTSA will help strengthen by buying power and allow me to form more relationships with other top dealers from around the country."
