Gary Hodge, sales & marketing VP for Sanyo Fisher's Audio/Video Division, has taken the same post at Sanyo Fisher's Communications/Information Technology. Hodge, with Sanyo since 1978, will continue to assist the Audio/Video Division during the transition to his new post. Scott L. Hymas promoted from chief financial officer to CEO of R.C. Willey, succeeding Bill Child, who will continue as board chairman. Jeffrey S. Child promoted from executive VP/merchandising to president, and executive VPs Steve Child and Curtis Child named to board of directors.Duane C. Peiffer named director of Hoover's newly created customer solutions department. The former product director of uprights, canisters and filter bags was succeeded by Mark Hetrick, who in turn was succeeded as director of marketing services by Debra Coats. Separately, Diane Kosla was named manager of merchandising and packaging for the Maytag division.Best Buy's Rob Willey, Duane Hoff and Tim Sheehan join Musicland to coordinate the integration and transformation of the new subsidiary, beginning with Sam Goody. Willey, formerly director of brick & mortar strategy, promoted to VP/acquisition integration, reporting to Musicland chief operating officer Keith Benson. Hoff, VP/interactive television, named VP/merchandise transformation, reporting to Musicland vice chairman Gil Wachsman. Sheehan, previously VP/retail operations, joins Musicland as VP/stores transformation, reporting to Music-land president of stores Jonathan Reckford.Tom Darnall promoted to VP/retail marketing and Web operations at 800.com, and Bill Edwards joins the e-tailer as VP/channel marketing.Richard C. Hemp, a 34-year Maytag veteran, has "unretired" and returns to the company's Major Appliance Division as senior VP of sales, replacing Randolph W. Melville, who has left the company.. David P. Kelley named senior VP of Worldwide Sales for Klipsch Audio Technologies.
