Ginni Cabinets Hide Components

Staff -- TWICE, 9/6/2004

A line of automated furniture designed to house entertainment centers is being offered by Ginni Designs. The new line of armoires and credenzas, called elegant by the company, blends furniture with the latest audio and video technology to complement any room's décor.

The furniture, which houses speakers, subwoofers, amplifiers and plasma TVs, comes in three designs, and can instantly show or hide an entertainment system with the touch of a single button. When the entertainment system is not being used, the electronics retracts back into the furniture.

The GDI-42FPL credenza, retailing for a suggested $10,800, is designed to house a 42-inch plasma set and speakers. The GDI-35 and GDI-35-2P are armoires, retailing for a suggested $6,500 and $4,995, respectively.

All models are available in a variety of wood finishes and provide a hardware solution that can be designed into any cabinet, both free-standing and fixed, said Ginni.
