Networking Was One Of The CEA Industry Forum Highlights

By Steve Smith -- TWICE, 11/3/2008

While there was plenty of news at the annual Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) Fall Forum, with a full report on what holiday sales may be like (see p. 48), discussions about alternatives to China and new technologies, and updates on the 2009 International CES, the key to this meeting continues to be networking.

This is the last chance the industry gets together to discuss the upcoming holiday season (and with the economy in crisis there was plenty to discuss), what plans many have for International CES in January and beyond, and to celebrate the 2008 CE Hall of Famers (TWICE, Oct. 27, p. 22.)

As you can see by the pictures on this page from the Four Seasons Hotel, held here during mid-October, attendees at the CEA Fall Forum did a fair share of networking and a good exchange of ideas.
