Karmazin Says XM/Sirius Tags Could Increase

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 3/12/2007

Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin clarified that satellite radio service may cost more if consumers want programs from more than one service.

Sirius confirmed that Karmazin told the New York Times last week, "Subscribers wanting to keep their existing service would not face a price increase, and listeners who wanted the best of both services would pay less than the combined rate of $25.90."

Karmazin told Congress that consumers will be able to receive mixed programming from both services via their current radios.
