JakksPacific Bows EyeClops BioniCam

By Staff -- TWICE, 2/11/2008

Jakks Pacific recently unveiled its EyeClops BioniCam, the next generation of its EyeClops Bionic Eye product. The device is expected to be available at retail in the fall at a suggested retail of $79.99.

The BioniCam features a new multi-zoom lens that allows the user to view objects at 100x, 200x or 400x magnification. It is handheld and portable and features a color LCD screen and a clip-on battery pack. The built-in camera and flash drive allows the child to capture images and video of specimens and later upload them to a computer via the included USB key.

Like its predecessor, the device also features an A/V plug-in option so specimens can be viewed on the user's TV.

Separately, Jakks is also adding to its line of Plug It In And Play TV Games this spring. The company plans to launch games featuring licensed titles including "High School Musical," "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader," "Sleeping Beauty," and "Wall-E." Each game will carry a suggested retail of $19.99.
