Syntax Adds American TV, Micro Center

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — LCD TV manufacturer Syntax recently announced that the American TV and Micro Center retail chains have signed on to carry models in its Olevia brand of LCD TVs.
Both American TV, Appliance and Furniture, an 11-store Midwest regional TV/appliance retail chain, and Micro Center, a 20-store national retail chain specializing in PC-related products, selected Syntax Olevia 27-inch and 30-inch models.
American TV said it added the Olevia models due to aggressive pricing and versatility of operation, while Micro Center added the line due to the brand's combination of HDTV-compatibility, low price and PC-friendly connectivity options.
The Syntax Olevia 27-inch and 30-inch LCD TVs incorporate dual NTSC TV tuners, VGA and TV split-screen capability, and DVI inputs with HDCP. American TV offers the Olevia 27 inch for $1,749 and the 30-inch model for $2,238. Micro Center offers the 27-model at $1,499 and the 30-inch at $1,899, plus a $50 rebate through August.
