Cables Unlimited, Wisair Team Up

On Wireless USB Adapter

Concord, Calif. — Cables Unlimited and Wisair report they have teamed up to introduce a wireless USB adapter set.

The Cables Unlimited wireless USB adapter set (724580321620) features Wisair’s single-chip technology, designed to turn existing USB devices into wireless USB devices.

The set comes with a pair of wireless USB dongles, one for the computer and another for the device. The device-side adapter lets users move USB peripherals up to 30 feet away, the company said, or the device can be attached to a USB hub, turning it into a wireless USB hub.

Ben Hunter, Cables Unlimited CEO, said in a release the company would also soon offer single device adapters that are sold separately.

Suggested retail is said to range from $79 to $99.
