LAS VEGAS — Ace CAD Enterprises is introducing during International CES a digital notepad with memory that can send email from notes written on paper by smartphone via Bluetooth.
Ace CAD, which will be exhibiting at Hilton 54020, 54022 and 54024, said the DigiMemo with Bluetooth transmitter is a stand-alone digital notepad with memory for sending email or MMS written on paper by Smartphone via Bluetooth, without using a computer.
The Ace CAD DigiMemo A402/L2 with 32MB memory and SD memory card slot is a stand-alone note-taking device that digitally captures and stores everything written or drawn with ink on ordinary paper, without using a computer or special paper, the firm said.
Using electromagnetic technology, the DigiMemo allows someone to put ordinary paper or a notepad on the digital pad to write with ink. Without changing the way users work, it writes as well as a ballpoint pen on ordinary paper, but digitally records notes, ideas, drawings, sketches, and flowcharts in the pad's 32MB flash memory or optional SD memory card in real time, the company said.
With the Bluetooth transmitter, the DigiMemo enables users to transfer handwritten notes or sticky notes on regular paper as JPEG, PDF or DHW format to a smartphone. Then they can view or send these as personal messages via email or MMS.
System Requirements for a smartphone are: Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 or 6, Symbian S60 or UIQ, and enabled Bluetooth.
When connected to a PC via USB, the DigiMemo A402/L2 is not only a removable storage device, but a tablet device for all Windows applications. The USB tablet mode makes it function like a cordless mouse in Windows. The digital pen on the pad in landscape mode moves the cursor on the screen, the company said.
The digital pad is operated by four AAA alkaline batteries and weighs 1.45 pounds (including the batteries).
Suggested retail pricing and ship dates are available at the show.
