Macally Introduces IceCam 2, USB Hub

ONTARIO, CALIF. — Macally introduced two PC accessories earlier this summer.

The first, a Web cam, features a built-in microphone. The IceCam 2 is engineered with a 640 by 480 resolution and 30 fps. It has an adjustable focus and was designed with versatility in mind, said the company. It can sit on a desk or be clipped to a laptop screen or flat-panel monitor.

In both positions, the IceCam2 provides two-axle 360-degree horizontal rotation, with 135-degree tilt back-and-forth swivel joints with fully adjustable pointing angles. It was designed for voice and video chat using Skype, iChat, Yahoo Messenger, aMSN (Mac only) and Live Messenger (Windows only) and other instant messaging clients, said Macally. It works with Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later and can also be used with Windows XP SP2 and Vista.

The second product, the TriHub 7, comes with seven high-speed USB 2.0 ports (480 Mbps) ports that are also usable with USB1.1 (12Mbps) devices. Features include two separated ports for larger USB devices, adhesive pads on the bottoms to secure the TriHub 7 to desired surfaces, and a DC jack for an AC adaptor.

Both products have a $29.99 suggested retail and are currently available.
