Sony Debuts Charger, Camera Battery Pack

San Diego — Sony is introducing a charger for its G series battery. The ultra-compact charger lets users recharge a Cyber-shot camera battery in 1.5 hours, over three times faster than the supplied charger, said Sony. A retractable plug offers maximum portability, said the company.

Suggested retail for model BC-TRG is $59.99.

Also new from Sony is model NP-BG1, a lithium-ion G-type battery pack for cameras. The 960 mAh battery has a suggested $49.99 retail. It is compatible with DSC-N1/W30/50/70/100.
