Blaupunkt Ships CD Receivers

BROADVIEW, Ill.— Blaupunkt is shipping four new CD receivers, some with 4,096-selectable-color displays and MP3 playback capability.

The units include the Monterrey MP35, and the Syracuse MP35 with Variocolour displays that can be customized to match a car's interior. Also new is the Bermuda MP35 with a white display. Suggested retail prices range from $119.95 to $209.95.

Boston Supplies Dodge

PEABODY, Mass — Boston Acoustics (expected to be purchased by D&M Holdings, see p. 6) said it will provide audiophile speaker systems for the new 2006 Dodge Charger. This marks the fourth Chrysler vehicle model which Boston has supplied as an OEM. Two Dodge systems will be offered including a six-speaker model powered by Visteon Corp. with a 276-watt DSP amplifier as standard equipment and a seven-speaker system that adds a subwoofer with 322-watt amplifier as a factory-installed upgrade option.
