Pioneer Opens Online Sales Site

NEW YORK — Pioneer began selling select products online through its own Web site in April and has expanded its online selection to about 60 home and car SKUs, excluding products from its higher-end Elite and Premier series.
The home products include CD players and changers, the inno MP3/XM headphone stereo and plasma TV accessories, mostly cables. The car products are mainly accessories, including an iPod adapter for a car CD player, backup camera attachment for a navigation system and navigation maps on DVD.
Some products are not available at retail in the United States, including headphones and a pair of speakers whose cabinets are made from recycled whiskey barrels.
