Jabra Intros Bluetooth Headset, Speakerphone At CTIA Last Week

Staff -- TWICE, 4/6/2009

Jabra used the CTIA Wireless show, held here last week, to debut a Bluetooth stereo headset and a Bluetooth speakerphone.

The Halo stereo headset comes with the company's Noise Blackout technology and A2DP technology. It is engineered to let users connect to any Bluetooth music-playing device, as well as 3.5mm music-playing devices. It reportedly fades out music to allow for incoming calls.

Weighing 3 ounces, the Halo can switch between wireless and wired connectivity, said Jabra, and has Zirene Power Bass for audio enhancement.

It will be available in May for a $129 suggested retail.

The SP200 speakerphone ($59.99, available this month) features a single control button, a dedicated on/off switch and DSP technology to reduce background noise. It reportedly requires no installation.

Jabra said of the product: “The SP200 can be attached to virtually anything in your home or car (e.g. visor, dash, cup holder, kitchen cabinet, desk, bookshelf, etc.) for conference calls and hands-free talking while preparing dinner or making calls with the whole family.”
