Kenwood To Show CD Players

LONG BEACH, CALIF. — Kenwood is introducing three new entry-level 2008 CD receivers and speakers to be unveiled at the SEMA show starting Oct. 30.
The new models offer improved user interfaces and lead with the KDC-138 at a suggested $80 with front-panel aux input with a sensitivity control for adjusting the level of the incoming signal. The unit has a four-way selector button similar to those found on DVD players and a preamp output.
A step-up model is the KDC-MP208, which adds MP3 and WMA capability and wireless remote control at $100.
A new KDC-MP238 adds two preamp-output connectors with a switchable low-pass filter for a subwoofer amplifier. It is also satellite radio and HD Radio ready with optional tuners, as well as iPod and Bluetooth ready, for $120. All models are now shipping.
In its Performance speaker series, Kenwood is adding three three-way speakers at $70 for each pair.
